Original price was: ₹8,600.00.Current price is: ₹6,750.00.

This IoT-based home automation project uses an Arduino UNO to control a 4-channel relay module that operates two AC bulbs and a 4V DC motor. These devices can be turned ON/OFF remotely via a mobile app using an ESP8266-01 Wi-Fi module, which also hosts a web server. The system includes multiple sensors: DHT11 for temperature and humidity, PIR for motion detection, and MQ135 for air quality monitoring. If motion or high gas levels are detected, alerts are triggered, and a servo motor opens the door automatically for emergency exit.

#IoT Based Home Automation using Arduino Microcontroller
# Advanced IoT Based Home Automation using Arduino,
DHT 11, PIR, Wi-Fi, LPG sensor, Servo Motor

Introduction

Nowadays, technology is growing rapidly to ease human efforts and make our life swifter and easier. The regular up-gradation and development in technology help us to dream of a world with all ease and comfort and all the work done automatically. Home automation is a perfect example depicting the technology which helps us in running all the household machines, either simple or complex, automatically.

IoT, the Internet of Things, is a platform that helps us interface physical machines with each other so that they can communicate among themselves, and this helps in the automatic working of physical items without any direct human involvement . This does not require any human-to-human or human-to-machine communication for the transfer of data over a network . The network consists of a microprocessor and several sensors and modules, among which the communication takes place.

This project has an Arduino with an ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, sensors to manage a home. It uses a 4-channel relay to control two bulbs and a 4V DC motor. A DHT11 sensor monitors temperature and humidity, while an MQ135 sensor checks air quality, and a PIR sensor detects motion. The data from these sensors is displayed on a 16×2 LCD and sent to a web server via the ESP8266(Wi-Fi). In case of smoke detection, a servo motor opens the house door for emergency access. Users can control relays and view sensor data remotely via a mobile app.

Objectives

To enable users to control home appliances remotely via a mobile app connected through the ESP8266 Wi-Fi module.

To provide real-time updates on environmental conditions and air quality through a 16×2 LCD and a web server.

To detect unauthorized motion with a PIR sensor and alert users or activate security measures as needed.

To automatically open the house door with a servo motor in response to smoke detection from the MQ135 sensor, ensuring quick access in emergencies.
