📘 Introduction

Gas leakage, especially from Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders, poses a serious threat to human life and property. Over the past decades, numerous incidents related to domestic and industrial gas leaks have resulted in fires, explosions, and fatalities. Traditionally, gas leak detection relied on human senses or basic alarm systems, which often lacked reliability and timely response, especially when occupants were away. This necessitates the development of a more intelligent, automated, and real-time solution for gas leak detection and prevention.

With the advent of embedded systems and the Internet of Things (IoT), it is now possible to create smart safety systems that offer real-time data monitoring, remote alerts, and automated control mechanisms. The integration of gas sensors (MQ-6), environmental sensors (DHT11), and servo motors controlled by Arduino microcontrollers enables a comprehensive approach to LPG safety. These systems are capable of not only detecting gas leaks promptly but also taking immediate action, such as closing the gas regulator valve and alerting the user remotely via IoT platforms like ThingSpeak.

This project presents an IoT-based LPG gas leakage detection system with environmental condition monitoring and an automatic regulator shut-off feature. It combines real-time gas concentration sensing, temperature and humidity measurement, and automatic actuation using a servo motor, all while enabling cloud-based data logging and remote alerting. Objectives:
