• Today’s farmers spend a lot of money on machinery that increases crop yield while requiring less labour. Although there are numerous machines for ploughing, harvesting, spraying pesticides, etc., these machines must be manually operated to carry out the necessary operations, and additionally, different machines are used for each function. When compared to the investment, the yield and profit returns by using these equipment are very low. The expanding demands of the global population is another problem.
• According to the World Health Organization, there will be a staggering demand for food crop growth when the planet’s population reaches 9 billion in 35 years. By building machines that can perform multiple tasks and automating those tasks to increase yield on a large scale, automation is the best way to address all the aforementioned shortcomings.
