DESCRIPTION

This project is dedicated to designing and testing a fully automated, voice-controlled wheelchair, deviating from traditional wheelchairs with a custom prototype. It follows a meticulous mechatronic systems design approach, encompassing hardware, software, interface, and testing phases. The primary aim is to enable mobility for individuals with disabilities using voice commands and speech recognition technology. The successful outcome suggests potential for future research and public interest, with a key objective of providing a solution for those unable to move independently. By interfacing speech recognition with a microcontroller and a wheelchair, users can control the chair via Bluetooth commands from an Android device. The motorized movement is facilitated through motor drivers connected to the wheels, orchestrated by an Arduino Uno/Nano microcontroller, ultimately simplifying the process of wheelchair navigation
