Contactless Door Bell and Alert System

This IoT project employs ultrasonic technology to create a contactless doorbell and alert system. It triggers the doorbell and alerts occupants using sound without any physical touch. It utilizes an esp32-cam to provide a real-time view of visitors at the door and includes GSM for SMS alerts. If no one is home, an ultrasonic sensor detects presence and sends a text message alert to a mobile device. This system offers both security and convenience.

DESCRIPTION

This IoT-based project’s contactless door bell and alert system uses ultrasonic technology to ring the doorbell without requiring human contact, and it also uses sound to notify the occupants of the house that someone is at the door. Through the use of an esp32-cam, we can also see who is outside the door. Additionally, we have added gsm for sms alerts so that, in the event that no one is home, an ultrasonic sensor will sense a presence and send a text message alert to a phone. Finally, we can use an esp32-cam to see who is at the door in real time.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the IoT-based contactless doorbell and alert system project is to create a smart and convenient solution for home security and visitor notification. The project aims to achieve the following key goals:

  1. Contactless Doorbell: Develop a system that allows visitors to ring the doorbell without physical contact. This is accomplished using ultrasonic technology to detect the presence of someone near the door and trigger a doorbell sound or notification.
  2. Occupant Notification: Implement a sound notification system inside the house to alert the occupants when someone is at the door. This can be in the form of a chime or alert that is activated when a visitor approaches the door.
  3. Visitor Identification: Utilize an ESP32-CAM (a type of IoT-enabled camera module) to capture real-time images or video of the visitors outside the door. This feature allows homeowners to visually identify who is at the door without opening it.
  4. SMS Alerts: Integrate GSM technology to send SMS alerts to the homeowner’s phone in case there is no one at home and the ultrasonic sensor detects a presence at the door. This provides an added layer of security by notifying the homeowner remotely.
