The IoT Anti-theft Flooring System, powered by Raspberry Pi, Piezoelectric sensors, ESP32-CAM, and ESP8266, offers robust security. Piezoelectric sensors in the flooring detect intrusions, triggering the ESP32-CAM to capture images and videos of potential intruders. The ESP8266 sends these visuals to a remote server or mobile device for instant monitoring and alerts, ensuring rapid responses to security threats.

Description

DESCRIPTION

The IoT-based Anti-theft Flooring System utilizes Raspberry Pi, Piezoelectric sensors, ESP32-CAM module, and ESP8266 to create a comprehensive security solution. The Piezoelectric sensors are embedded within the flooring to detect any unauthorized intrusion or footsteps. When triggered, these sensors send signals to the ESP32-CAM module, which captures images and videos of the potential intruder. The ESP8266 then transmits these visuals to a remote server or mobile device for real-time monitoring and alerts, enabling swift response to potential thefts or security breaches.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this project is to develop an IoT-based Anti-theft Flooring System using a Raspberry Pi, Piezoelectric sensors, ESP32-CAM module, and ESP8266. This system aims to detect unauthorized access or tampering with valuable assets by utilizing Piezoelectric sensors embedded in the flooring. When pressure or disturbance is detected, data is transmitted to the Raspberry Pi, which processes the information and triggers the ESP32-CAM module to capture images or videos of the intruder. These visuals are then transmitted via ESP8266 to a remote server or user’s device for real-time monitoring and security alerts, enhancing theft prevention and asset protection.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Traditional security systems rely on cameras and motion sensors placed on walls or ceilings, making it possible for intruders to bypass them by crawling or using disguises. This project aims to address this issue by implementing a hidden, tamper-resistant anti-theft system within the flooring. The specific problems to be addressed are:

  • Unauthorized Access Detection: Create a system capable of detecting unauthorized access to a protected area using piezoelectric sensors embedded in the flooring.
  • Real-time Alerts: Develop a mechanism to send real-time alerts (including images) to the user or security personnel when an unauthorized access event is detected.
  • Concealment and Tamper Resistance: Ensure that the system is concealed within the flooring and resistant to tampering, making it difficult for intruders to disable it.
  • User-Friendly Interface: Implement a user-friendly web-based interface that allows users to monitor and control the system remotely.

ADVANTAGES

  • The system provides an additional layer of security for homes or businesses by detecting unauthorized intrusions.
  • Users can monitor their premises remotely using a smartphone or computer, increasing convenience and peace of mind.
  • It can be integrated with existing smart home or security systems, creating a cohesive and comprehensive security infrastructure
  • IoT devices are typically designed to be energy-efficient, reducing long-term operational costs.
  • Capture images for visual verification.
  • Enables monitoring from anywhere in the world
