Description
DESCRIPTION
The “IoT Controlled Smart Street Light Using Arduino” project introduces a novel way to manage urban lighting systems by harnessing the power of IoT and Arduino technology. The project addresses the issue of unnecessary energy consumption in conventional street lighting by proposing an automated solution that adjusts street light operation based on the surrounding light conditions.
Key components of the system include Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs) strategically positioned to detect the intensity of natural light. During daytime, when LDRs sense sufficient daylight, the system triggers the Arduino microcontroller to turn off the street lights. As dusk falls and natural light diminishes, the LDRs detect this change and signal the microcontroller to activate the street lights.
