IOT Based Home Automation

10,500.00

This project is to build a smart home device which can be used to control the home appliances via the internet. The home automation device that you build can be integrated with almost all the home appliances and can be used to control them remotely from anywhere in the world. To facilitate the wireless connectivity with the system, the Arduino UNO will be embedded with a Wi-Fi module. This establishes the internet connection to the system and all the home appliances can be connected and controlled by the internet.

Description

ABSTRACT

We live in an exciting time where more and more everyday items are becoming smart! “Things” have sensors and can communicate to other “things”. The Internet of Things (IoT), is upon us in a huge way and people are rapidly inventing new gadgets that enhance our lives. The price of micro-controllers with the ability to talk over a network keeps dropping and developers can now thinker and build things inexpensively.

IoT (internet of things) is an ongoing technology that allows us to control hardware devices through the internet. Here we use IoT in order to control different home appliances. This system uses loads to show as house lighting and a fan. This is a user-friendly interface made by us that allows a user to easily control the different home appliances through the internet. In this, we use an AVR family micro-controller. This micro-controller interacts with a Wi-Fi modem to access the internet. We also have an LCD display in the project to display the status of the system. Relays are used in it to switch the loads. The entire system is powered by a 12 V transformer. When the system receives the command through the internet the instructions are processed by micro-controller to operate these loads accordingly and display the system status on the LCD display. Thus, this system allows for efficient home automation over the internet.
