IOT Based Dual Axis Solar Tracker With Irrigation And Soil Health System

10,500.00

Solar energy is a rapidly growing renewable energy source playing a crucial role in harnessing this abundant resource. Solar trackers are employed to track the movement of the sun and orient the solar panels for maximum sunlight absorption. Dual-axis solar trackers are an advanced type of solar tracking system that allows panels to move in both horizontal and vertical directions by the use of LDR, thereby maximizing solar energy capture throughout the day with Integrated Irrigation System which combines the benefits of solar tracking technology with an automated irrigation system.

Description

DESCRIPTION

A dual-axis solar tracker is a device that automatically adjusts the position of solar panels to maximize their exposure to sunlight throughout the day. By utilizing Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs), the solar tracker can accurately determine the position of the sun and adjust the panels accordingly

  • The LDRs, also known as photoresistors, are light-sensitive devices that change their resistance based on the amount of light falling on them. In a dual-axis solar tracker, two LDRs are typically used—one for tracking the azimuth angle (horizontal movement) and the other for tracking the altitude angle (vertical movement). The azimuth angle represents the horizontal position of the sun, ranging from east to west, while the altitude angle represents the vertical position of the sun, ranging from the horizon to directly overhead. The LDRs sense the intensity of sunlight and provide feedback to the solar tracker control system.

  • An automated irrigation system consists of moisture sensors strategically placed within the soil, leveraging the excess energy generated by the solar panels. This innovative system utilizes sensors to monitor soil moisture levels, ambient temperature, and crop water requirements. Based on real-time data, the system calculates the irrigation schedule and initiates irrigation when necessary. The water supply is sourced from a storage tank connected to a water pump, powered by the solar panel and battery. This integrated approach ensures sustainable irrigation practices.
